Trace Wins $41M Army GTACS II Task Order to Supply Deployable Communications Capabilities (DCCS) Systems, Services, and Technical Support.

(Trace) has been awarded a four-year, $41 million contract by Project Manager – Tactical Network supporting United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), including North American Aerospace Defense (NORAD), USNORTHCOM subordinates and component commands, mission partners, and Army North (ARNORTH). The “Deployable Communications Capabilities Systems” (DCCS) support task order was competitively awarded by Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground through the Army Global Tactical Advanced Communications Systems and Services (GTACS) II multiple award contract vehicle.

The DCCS program provides deployable communications support to USNORTHCOM which commands and controls all DoD operations in the North American continent where communications interoperability between the military and civil response forces is critical to mission success. The DCCS suite provides the connectivity for DoD and civil responders to support Homeland Defense, civil support, and disaster relief operations with communications transport systems services, unified communications capabilities, collaboration tools, and common operational picture tools. Trace will provide system lifecycle support, project management, capability design, system modifications, technical refresh, equipment training, technical support, equipment repair, spare parts management, helpdesk services, and reporting.

“Trace has an established successful history fielding and sustaining tactical communications solutions for USNORTHCOM and its subordinates for over a decade,” states Greg Filak, VP for Enterprise and Communications Solutions at Trace. “The DCCS award reflects years of demonstrated success and confidence Trace has built with NORTHCOM, ARNORTH, and PM TN to be entrusted with this critical mission. Both at home and abroad, Trace continues to ensure our Warfighters are supported with superior communications capabilities.”
